Purebred Puppies for Sale: Myths and Facts

You’ve finally decided to get a dog as you’ve been searching for purebred puppies for sale online. We always have purebred puppies for sale and designer breeds too! Since you’ve made this beautiful life-changing decision, we want to give you some additional information about purebred dogs. There are a few myths for which you should be on the lookout. Let’s get to it!

Myth 1:  

If you find purebred puppies for sale without American Kennel Club (AKC) papers, they are not high-quality puppies.

Fact 1:

This is simply not true. Plenty of purebred puppies for sale are of high-quality and come from loving and reputable breeders. Unless you’re interested in showing your dog in a contest, there is no need to seek purebred puppies for sale with AKC papers. 

Myth 2: 

There is a myth that purebred puppies for sale all have bad breeding. There are myths that breeding practices aren’t good and that the odds are against purebred puppies.

Fact 2:

This is simply not true. On the contrary, many purebred breeders meticulously protect their lineage through careful breeding practices. They typically follow all of the rules and administer the necessary tests to prevent harmful genetic issues, so that the future of their purebred puppies is continued.

Myth 3: 

Purebred dogs are never as healthy as mixed breed dogs. This myth makes its cycle every so often because people believe that purebred puppies are generally and chronically less healthy than mixed breeds.

Fact 3:

This is simply not true. Both purebreds and mixed breeds have their own genetic health issues that are associated with their respective breeds. It really is that easy to dispel.
